Addon to Street is an experimental script that allows you to add additional characters (pedestrians) to the GTA V world without changing the main game models. These additional characters move, stand, smoke, use phones, and seamlessly integrate into the urban environment along with the non-playable characters.
Key Features:
- JSON-based spawning system: Pedestrian spawn points are determined by the coordinates of the PedSpawnPoints.json file, which is automatically generated by the included AddonToStreetScanner.exe program. No manual coordinate adjustment is required.
- Automatic spawning and removal: Additional pedestrians appear within a custom range near the player and are automatically removed when they move too far or after the player dies.
- Advanced spawning control: Enable or disable additional pedestrian models directly from the game menu. Changes are saved and persisted across sessions.
- Environment: Generated pedestrians perform random actions in the environment: standing, walking, smoking, using a phone, or holding a cup of coffee.
- Adjustable parameters: Scanning radius, maximum number of pedestrians, spawn probability, and minimum spawn distance can be adjusted from the game menu using the left and right arrow
- keys. Marker Support: Additional markers in custom colors for all active pedestrians on the map and/or minimap.
- Model Validator: The "Model List" submenu shows available models that can be loaded from your INI file.
- Session Log: A Log.txt file is written to the settings folder and is reset every time GTA V is run, so logs are not accumulated.
Installation:
- Install Script Hook V and ScriptHookVDotNet v3 Nightly (x64).
- Install LemonUI and Addon Ped Selector — follow their respective installation instructions.
- Make sure you have at least one addon ped already installed and working via Addon Ped Selector.
- Copy all files from the scripts folder into your GTA V scripts folder.
- Place AddonToStreetScanner.exe & CodeWalker.Core.dll inside your GTA V root folder (where GTA5.exe is located).
- Run AddonToStreetScanner.exe as Administrator.
- Browse to your GTA V installation folder inside the scanner, then click Start Scan.
- The scan will succeed if it detects the addon peds you have installed via Ped Selector.
- Launch GTA V. Press F7 to open the menu.
This script is in beta. Some additional character models are not fully compatible with GTA V's streaming system. Please excuse the occasional appearance of additional characters hovering over buildings due to the height of their spawn points. This is a known limitation in this beta version. The PedSpawnPoints.json file can contain thousands of spawn coordinates. The script filters based on player proximity during execution, so its performance impact is minimal. If you add new additional characters using the character selector after the initial scan, restart the browser and use the "Reload Spawn Points" option in the menu.
