About GTA Sa SkyGFX - Presets
1. Filter Off (skygfx4.ini)
This mod gives the game a neutral, flat look. It removes all color correction and post-processing, making the colors appear more natural but less vibrant. The sky is light blue, and the shadows have less depth.
2. Mobile Filter (skygfx3.ini)
This setting is optimized for mobile devices and recreates the "ultimate" version. It features brighter, more saturated lighting. The sky tends toward a light blue or turquoise hue, and the overall contrast is higher; this aims to make details more visible on smaller screens but loses much of the hazy, "mysterious" atmosphere of the original.
3. PC Filter (skygfx2.ini)
This filter emulates the original Windows version. Like the disabled filter, this mod offers more consistent lighting management for desktop monitors of that era. It features a bright color palette, a clear blue sky, and well-defined white clouds. This setting doesn't include the crisp color cycles of home consoles, resulting in a clearer image, but it's often criticized for being less immersive than the PS2.
4. PS2 Filter (skygfx1.ini)
This is the most popular and requested setting among SkyGfx users. It faithfully reproduces PlayStation 2 graphics using the popular "radiation" filter. This filter includes a distinctive orange/yellow tint (especially in San Fierro and rural areas) and a blurring effect that softens edges. This filter creates a warm, nostalgic, and cinematic atmosphere that masks the technical limitations of the time.
